Hey, I'm Nozzexx.

I'm not a studio veteran, I'm not trying to disrupt anything, and I'm not going to tell you this game will change how you think about the genre. I just had an idea for a game I'd genuinely love to play, and I couldn't find anything that scratched the itch — so I started building it.

Dread Realms is heavily inspired PvPvE Action/Adventure games. Games like that hooked me on the feeling of diving out into a world where anything could happen — where the tension between PvE objectives and the threat of other players created moments that no scripted game could replicate. I wanted that same feeling wrapped in gothic horror. Fog, ancient ruins, graveyards, supernatural beasts, rival crews of hunters, and the constant question of whether to fight or run.

I do care a lot about fairness. Not in a grand philosophical way — I just hate losing to someone because they've played longer or spent more. I'm not delusional enough to believe game balancing is easy, but I do think things like, fixed health, flat damage, skill and game knowledge should be the key deciders in a fight. That part matters to me.

Outside of that, this is a passion project. I work on it because I find it genuinely exciting. I write about it because documenting the process keeps me accountable and I enjoy interacting with other people working on similar things. That's really the whole story.
